Uses

Conrad is a hybrid attacker with the ability to revive allies upon killing an enemy.

Offers

Attack Debuff Unrecoverable Debuff  30% revive upon enemy death or a shield

Rune Builds

With him needing hp to do good damage on the second skill, he will be harder to rune than most. I would suggest ignoring the second skill in favor of the first and third skill. You can go with the damage build of Rage/Blade(Atk%/Crit D%/Atk%). Try to find as much atk% and hp% runes to increase his 2nd skill damage.

You can also go Fatal/Blade(Spd/Crit R%/Atk%) if you can’t get access to good rage runes yet. He will be speedy using this set but deal less damage.

Important substats: Atk%, Crit R%, Crit D%, Hp%

Tower of Ascension Viability

Conrad can be used in ToA normal, but not that useful in ToA hard, especially the higher levels. His unrecoverable debuff will be useful against healing mosnters, but I think Briand and Arnold will do a better job here than he does. Considering that you need to kill someone for a revive, he won’t be that great against big bosses.

He also won’t be as tanky as Briand or Arnold if he goes full damage.

Giants and Dragons B10 Viability

He can be used for both, but there are better options out there. His brothers Briand and Fedora will do a much better job here for Dragons B10.

Necropolis Viability

Not that useful here. He doesn’t do that much damage to warrant a spot and he doesn’t have any multi hitting abilities.

Arena and Guild Wars Viability

I can see some use here for offense with a hard hitting Conrad with Rage/Blade set. However, with the same set given to another attacker like Sigmarius, Zaiross, Alicia and Lushen is a much better choice here.

I have yet to meet Conrad in any arena or guild wars defense. I can’t say much about how he will perform, but it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. While he can also provide a shield for his allies, its still not that great. I am aware that his 3rd skill can hit very hard, but so can other damage dealers.

Update: With the new leader speed leader skill, he can be a viable speed leader and single target damage dealer with revive.

Conclusion: With the new update, he can be viable.

If you own one, feel free to comment and let me know what you think about Conrad!

            Pros

            • Has AoE attack debuff
            • Applies unrecoverable debuff
            • Can revive ally upon an enemy death
            • Provides a shield

            Cons

            • Harder to rune due to different skill scaling
            • Name

              He’s ok

            • What’s the point to make a Monster Spotlight just to tell me that I can find better monsters? I know that Conrad isn’t the best out there, but this is not the way you can review him. Tell me everything about what I can do with him and delete everything about how can you do a better job with some other monsters!

              • Summoner

The spotlight is to tell you my opinion about him. You are welcome to use the rune recommendations I gave you, but I will always use his brothers because I think they are better.

              • LoliMagi

It’s a review, knowing how a monster stands relative to others is critical. A score by itself is meaningless without knowing the context in which it’s framed. For example, to someone who doesn’t know much about the different Death Knights, they might look at the high scores and be like “golly gee this monster is great” and invest time and resources 6★ing it, only to realise he would’ve been better off spending the same time and resources on Arnold he has instead.

              • DarcyDee

That was a very unintelligent comment Alex… Why wouldn’t he tell you about how other monsters can out perform him in the areas he’s supposed to be good in?

            • Krabbz

if his attack is based off his Max HP wouldn’t Fatal Runes with HP%/ATT%/HP% on 2.4,6 and Energy Runes on 3, and 5 make more sense? I’ve used it on mine and he’s doing massive damage plus not as squishy. He’s slow, but I have my other monsters leading the way while he controls the area of attack. He’s an excellent one, two punch for my jojo.
I say play around with the runes to get max effect out of him. He’s doing very good for me so far.
Side note: Yes Briand is better because he can automatically revive an ally but if you have a great attacker Conrad is an excellent (2) in the 1,2 punch.

              • quro

                1. bigger hp would
mean far less dmg for his 1 and 3rd skill, bigger on his 2nd skill which does not have that big of multiplier

                2. make sense in what way? he is an atk monster not a hp or def monster, more like a waste of his true potential

                3. tried him and the best combo so far is rage blade (spd/c.dmg%/atk%) just bcoz i dont have chloe, this way, he does decent dmg, crit quite often, and can move 1st most of the time to dish out “trade” and give allies shield. however, if one have chloe then you dont have to worry bout his speed and go for atk% on his slot 2, he goes well with briand or fedora, does ok with arnold (2 nukes) and so-so with dias.

                4. galleon is his best friend , water horus also great, fire hellhound also good, shannon are ok. if you have low crit rate, use fire hound or water horus. if you have decent crit rate, use galleon. finally, shannon if you dont have good buffer, its just not maximum with shannon unless you have def breaking monster.

                hope this bit helps

I have configured him as following:

                  2: Energy ATK%
                  4: Energy crit. damage%
                  6: Fatal: ATK%
                  1, 3, 5: Fatal

All 5*+ runes but not all at lv. 15. Current stats:

                  HP: 16k+
                  ATK: 2k+
                  crit damage: 139%

Now I am curious, how he is going to turn out.

            • Actuaryy

typo: jan 2016 hoh, not 2015. also, you seem to rate him extremely highly, but dont really say that hes that great (and even suggest just feeding him). I understand briand and fedora are useful as hell, but you seem to contradict yourself in this spotlight

            • Jay

Thanks for the review. This will prevent me from wasting my time in HoH this weekend.

              • Maravs

Sorry Jay, but HoH of Death Knigth (DeK) it’s not a wasting time. You could take Concardo’s to feed anothers DeK. What is very helpfull

            • DS

I will agree with Alex, I would like the know from r how much his 3rd skill hit as a function of attack power as well as the absorb portion of his shield in 4,5,6 stars max. This is what I would consider as a review. We can see it’s an attack type. We can see that attackers mostly using this rune build (rage blade), we know that LUSHEN has better burst but this kind of hint provided is more of a preview rather than a review. Finally the given rating isn’t related to what u described. I used to read this site a lot but today your competititors growing rapidly and I think that I have to seek something new since its that accurate anymore.

            • DS

Forgot to rate als some typos ^^

            • LilDeath

Didn’t get the idea of giving him semi-perfect scores in every single aspect yet having the conclusion as “Feed”

            • Kitamora

I think that there are certain monsters that you have to really have an open mind about how to rune and what type of team that they can really make the fireworks happen. I am glad to see this mon compared not only to his brothers but also others that have similar skills. But I think that the true potential and power of this mon was over looked. To score so high yet be considered food, makes me think that he has something that the only way to understand and use is to really get to know him. I am very thankful for the review but it seems like the actual reviewer has an idea of something but not enough time to really comb through and find it, before they had to put the review up. And remember that this is one person’s opinion. Not your neighbor next door, a good friend or anything of that nature. Which also means that no one else knows how they make teams that works for them. As look at how many people who will put a mon down saying that it’s food, yet if you look at the stats it’s one of the top 10 most used mons. What works for some and especially if they are loud that is all you hear. But that doesn’t mean that it will work for you the same way. As this game is about strategies, how to make the mon work for you and what team to build to be able to reach and kill the enemy bosses. So the real question is did the review end up going in the wrong direction because this mon isn’t one that works with the team’s and ideas that the brothers of this mon had set into play, and the mon was truly misunderstood because of certain expectations?

            • Very good

            • Carlinman

I will test him for a while, maybe it´s a monster that needs more strategy than normal. The shield can be very useful sometimes. I may enjoy him for a “light team”. Since I already habe Bella, Groggo, Marble and Ahman, an attacker can be great!

Btw: I usually like the monsters I get, try to find some good strategies (like some places in ToA where I play with a CC team without healer), he may be very useful. I don´t think it shall be a good idea to make a soup of him and feed the other DK´s now, better try for a while ^^

              • Carlinman

… and … wtf of this photo of mine?

            • lolWut

Worthless unless you have OP runes.

            • Jeff

I’ve 6 starred Conrad. I use him as my lead in gb10, arena, HOH, and some TOA floors. He’s runed despair blade hp CD att. I highly suggest him for HOH as his trade usually kills atleast 1 monster for me every floor increasing the efficiency of my B2 runs significantly. With despair he does great cc as well. If your other choice is baretta for a speed lead for anything other than TOA, conrad is better.
