Uses

Theomars is your all round single target nuker that works pretty much on any element due to his passive, which neutralizes element disadvantage when attacking. Once you get him, you do not really need another single target nuker unless you need a niche damage dealer to deal with certain monsters.

Offers

Defense Debuff Continuous Damage Excellent single target damage 1 turn Endure buff for survival

Rune Builds

With Theomars being a power house as a single target nuker, beginners should go with the speedy rune build Swift/Blade(Spd/Crit D%/Atk%) to utilize the first skill’s damage that scales with speed. You will only need a total of 76% critical rate and him as the leader to hit 100% critical rate.

For end game players, Violent/Blade(Spd/Crit D%/Atk%) is the way to go. A violent proc usually spells the death of an enemy monster with this build. More speed means more chances of violent procs. I don’t recommend slow Theomars with Atk% on slot 2 unless you want him to go before or after certain monsters.

Important Substats: Spd, Crit R%, Crit D%, Atk%, Acc%

Tower of Ascension Viability

Theomars is usable in both ToA normal and hard as a raw damage dealer due to having continuous damage + defense debuff. He does drop off a bit in the latter stages in ToA hard but he is still usable. But for normal, you can use him all the way to 100.

Giants and Dragons B10 Viability

As for giants, he is not the optimal guy, but you can use him as a damage dealer. As for Dragons B10, he is a welcome addition as he offers defense debuff and continuous damage, which is extremely important in taking down the dragon towers fast.

Arena and Guild Wars Viability

Theomars is prevalent in Conqueror 1+ arena in both offense and defense. The reason is because his AI is unpredictable and you cannot just bring a fire tank to soak up damage because he will attack other elements as well. This is what makes him good in defense. For offense, pair him with another defense debuffer like Bella and you will be able to take down enemy monsters with ease.

As for guild wars, a common guild wars defense team is a fast Theomars, Chloe(or any immunity monster) and Chasun. This can be annoying to deal with, especially if you don’t have an AoE buff cleanser. You literally have to pray that Chloe doesn’t cast immunity on the first turn.

Counters to Theomars

To combat against Theomars, you need monsters that can seize buffs like Belladeon, Ramahan etc. Alternatively, you need someone that can reset cool times of skills such as Walkers, Delphoi, Lumirecia, Kaito etc. You can also use monsters that prevent him for using skills with cool times such as Suri, Taurus etc. These allows you to prevent him from surviving and quickly killing your team.

Conclusion: Keep and 6 Star + Pimp Him Out

Theomars is definitely a monster you want to give your best runes to. He is the best single target nuker out there that is AVAILABLE to f2p players. Even Laika has to sit in the corner and cry when comparing his damage to Theomars with the same rune investment.

            Pros

            • High single target damage
            • Shreds tanks with defense debuff and continuous damage
            • No elemental disadvantage when attacking
            • 1 turn endure to survive enemy onslaught

            Cons

            • Countered by cooltime reset skills
            • No AoE attacks
            • rodyanin

I don’t see how is this guy any way better then veromos (which i believe is the most useful of them)
he’s good single-target DD , but he needs realy awesome runes to oneshot strong mobs. improved passive skill is suprisingly good for TOA and dungeons, but not for arena defence since he dies anyway next turn. he cant heal himself and also he’s pretty slow. and will be quite squishy if you aim for glasscannon.

his only treat is that he is good for those lazy bastards who don’t mess with ever changing their party ^_^

              • ok

He can hit 25k with atk buff on def break using his first attack even with 170+ speed. Compared to other water water DDs like sig and beth, he doesn’t lose that much damage when using spd on slot 2 instead of atk. Easy max crit of 61% or 85% (if he’s not leader). Added survivability with endure buff. Basically the only arena offense attack monster you need if you have bad luck with scrolls.

Veromos is a stunner/utility not sure why you are comparing them…

The review is terrible. Theomars is an extremely good nuker with some survivability and is easily the best Ifrit one of the musts to reach conqueror. You can also build him with speed and for him to still have good damage output having more turns than more other attackers and nukers and all in all more dps. Theomars is easily better than veromos and tesarion since veromos is only really good in DB10 and GB10 and falls off in late game arena. Tesarion is also very situation support which is outclassed by a all round attacker. This is why he is seen on most conqueror/ guardian ADs

Even Laika has to sit in the corner and cry when comparing his damage to Theomars with the same rune investment.

Please remove this. Laika’s second hits 40k+ easily.

theo first skill can hit up to 70k, watch the video bro…., and i just got him yesterday, so he better be super good….LOL…

              Theomars:
              Beginners’ build:
              Swift/Blade(Spd/CritD%/Acc%)
              Late game build:
              Rage/Blade(Spd/CritD%/Acc%)
              Violent/Revenge(Spd/CritD%/Acc%)

              Note:
If you see my Theomar’s build is much more effective. Why? Because I don’t simply ignore the effectiveness of its skills. All we know is monstrous dmg per turn but what if its like this:
Theomars with huge damage but not accurate per turn.
Theomars with fine damage but accurate using def and continuous damage debuff.
So which one is much better, Acc% or Atk%?
Atk% will only affect its 2nd skill but Acc% will affect both 1st & 2nd skills.

Hopefully this would help alot. Thanks!
