As a new player Fatal / Blade is ok, with ATK% / CRTDMG% / ATK % and Blade with Crit rate subs. So we have 30%+ crit rate as our “soft cap” and a lot attack % because early game we can’t skill up her skills that adds damage!
Later when we have a maxed all the skills, we can change for a better setup like Violent / Rage or Violent / Destroy.

I think Amazon is better. Her leader skill gives her 20% accuary, which is very good for her aoe skill. She gives aoe and single target damage. Just more practical.
At my low lvls i had water amazon and fire magical archer. When both have 4* and max lvl, the same runes with the same atk% etc… amazon was better. Oh god, she was my best monster.
Now, she have 4* runes +9, 5*, max lvl, 50% crit rate, 1,5k dmg, over 9,5k hp and can solo 5 scanerios in hell mode (from garen forest to telain forest)

In reply to Garboski. Not a "must", but as important as speed is in this game even without her speed damage, I certainly would use them on her.

In reply to Gavin Harriman. Runes 1/3/5 are static, meaning that their main stats never change. Rune 1 will always be Atk, rune 3 will always be Def, and rune 5 will always be HP. The only customizable parts are the substats. The other ones can come with almost any main stat which makes the runes 2/4/6 benefit your monster the way you want it to.
