Basalt should be rated higher imo. I have Vio/Blade on him, with slot 2 and 6 def% (both 6* +15 runes), slot 4 cd% (6* +15 rune). His 3rd skill hits like a TANK and takes almost no damage. Only time I can’t use him is vs another mon who has attacks that ignore defense.

Dark Battle mammoth is very good and versatile. You can use him in dungeon, arena, toa and GW. Also he has good defense and ton of damage with his 3rd skill. Provoke, heal, defense buff, decrease attack bar, aoe skills and low cooldown. he deserves better rating.

I love basalt. This mon is great because it does a little of everything: support healer, tanky defense, great sustain, a little bit of CC and impressive attack for a defense unit. The healing/defense ability scales with HP, while attack scales with defense. The first ability CC can be very useful, especially with a Neal (though it’s not really necessary).
I’ve been playing around with Basalt’s runes and have currently settled on endure/energy/guard, with two % def and one % hp on the 2/4/6 spots. I have gone through previous iterations of energy/energy/guard and guard/guard/energy, but have found a little resistance goes a long way to making this bruisy tanker unstoppable. Definitely a keeper in my book.

You are absolutely correct!
I have a team:
Ariel (Water Angel), Talc (Water Mammoth), Mihyang (Water Sky Dancer) and Copper. I must say that is a great defensive team and I found only one threat for Copper on this team: Lushen.
And Talc has so much HP that he became a monster!!!

Wich rune set is best fo dungeons and ToA and why.
I think he has some secret potencial. If not…food for my Talc 5* 😀
