actually is the same... if you buy premium packs you get some 3* and 4* monsters.. not all of them will be useful and you can use them as food... each 3* you get reduces 3 2* monsters (1 max lvl and 2 lvl 1).... if you get a 4* and decide to use it for food (like kung fu girls or awakened crappy 3*) you reduce 4 3* monsters (1 max lvl and 3 lvl 1)... plus, you get the chance yo get decent 4* and 5* monsters...

by the way, I am f2p too. I'm just using my crystals wisely not buying starter and premium packs anymore, used to buy those packs on my first 4 months I think. But then I realized that it is better to save the crystals and be contented on getting mystical scrolls from events, shop and drops(Cairos). Just saving my crystals for exp boost and energy refills.
Note: You can finish all dungeons with farmable monsters.

You can actually make a 6* in less than a week, using 2x exp boost and a few refills. I think it's more or less 350 crystals for me. Farming Faimon 1 normal(Stage 1), getting some 3* monsters from Faimon and from Unknown Scrolls. It really will not take you hundreds of hours. Plus you can get one 4* max rainbowmon from guild shop for 150 guild points (once per week), which means that you will only need to make four 4* max monsters to make five 5* monsters to be used for evolving to 6*. Basically the illustration above shows the number of monster you need to 6* a natural 2* monster like a hellhound(sieq). It will actually take you less time to 6* a natural 4* or natural 3* monster. Sorry if I posted this as a reply to this post. Just wanted to let everyone know that it's really not that difficult and it actually will not take you hundreds of hours as posted below. Thank you and Happy Gaming!

100 solid day? Really?
I have just play about maximum 20 day, and almost training for the last 5 star fodder. Besides, my team have 3 mainly monster 5* max lvl and 2 monster 4* max lvl, excluded 4 fodder 5*. And that I played from lvl 1.
Take a small calculation at the late stage, you have maximum around 370 energy per day, I assume that you waste 70 (sleep, overload energy, do daily quests,...)
Assum that each run you will get 1 extra energy (when I farm in normal stage, I almost get average like that). And you run in normal stage so that each run cost you 2 energy. 150 run 1 day.
So I get around 150*3*80 = 350k exp
Heard somewhere that total exp to make a 6* mons about 6-7 mil, so it cost you about 20day full farm for each 6star.
If you stack daily energy reward and use during x2 exp time, it'll shorter, that the way I did. once time, with a 12h x2 exp gift, I spent all my inbox gift I stack for a week, about >500 energy to run tamor desert normal.

idk if my reply is too late.. but i'll still tell you anyways. btw you have some badass monsters tbh, im so jealous!
5*s
-fire dragon knight laika is a beast. definately awaken and 6* asap.
-water 9tail fox is fusion food, no need to put effort in her.(wind fox is the best out of all the elemental foxes, idk about l/d)
4*s
-water fairy (A) no good, just use her til mid game until you find a better healer/cleanser. kanomiya or belladeon can replace her.
-fire fariy, dont event waste esscense to awaken her, if you need a fire hitter or fire debuffer you can awaken and despair runes her, but shes trash. good for light fairy neal.
-light fairy queen, definately 5* asap and 6* when you have spare fodders, shes great overall. fatal attack.
-water ninja, fusion food, awaken him when you ready to fuse.
-water B-magician, um not a lot of experience with him, but you can replace him with a lot of monsters, keep him for skill up for wind or fire magician.
-water sylphid, great monster awakend lumi. awaken her asap, and 5* when you have spare fodder, shes great but shes not a necessity just star her up when you have the resource.
-water vamp, I think his one of the fusion material, i know wind vamp is fusion food for sure. but the water vamp is not that good, skill up food for fire vamp.
-wind naomi- all the cats are either fusion food or fodder monsters. don't even bother to work with her. no good
3stars
(Wind)-only the wind griffon is worth putting effort, great monster overall 5* awaken him with good runes for dungeons, good buff/debuffs good support 6* him when you already have a good 6* core team.
(Water)-lizardman is fusion food, others are trash, no good.
(Fire)-inugami, high elemental, are good, others no good. lala and tantra just use them for fodder monster even if its awakend. no good
-fire inugami farmable monster Raoq is great, 6* him if you need solo kill monsters to carry fodder monsters. good dmg look for rune sub stats with accuracy, rune with fatal blade or violent blade, good armor break and good burst, and the key is awesome passive.
-fire high elemental, great nuker, second skill ignore def, crazy dmg fire/light high elementals are the best imo. you can work with her if you need a fire nuker, but shes not a necessity, work on her when you already have a good core team.
Light garuda is a farmable monster in light SD, shes quite useless since you have wind E priest to replace her if you really really need a reviver. don't need her.

Yeah and Fire Warbear still hits like a bitch in comparison. Ramagos is still hands down the best warbear.
Fire is complete garbage and is only food for Ramagos.
Water Warbear is great early game but falls of mid-game and becomes Ramagos food.
The sooner you get Clean Shot and Crouch maxed, the better.
