2020 Anniversary Hall of Heroes [Gemini – Light Brownie Magician]

2020 Anniversary Hall of Heroes [Gemini – Light Brownie Magician]

ten! However, the first five choices were last week, so in this case, we’re gonna be focusing on the last five choices – Gemini, Bering, Barque, Jun, and Sian. Today, we’re gonna be looking at the light Brownie Magician, Gemini. I’ve run all the Hall of Heroes on five different accounts, so four out of five will be absolute nooblet teams. However, my main team is still the same. Before we begin, Hall of Heroes is a lot like Trial of Ascension, so that means you can use Trial of Ascension strategy and monsters (e.g. attack bar pushbacks, stuns and continuous damage are king). I strongly advise bringing your regular Trial of Ascension team. In my case, I’m using Baretta (L), Charlotte, Rica, Frigate, and Verad.

Stage 1

Let’s start with Stage 1! Here, we have three Dracos (fire Brownie Magicians) and two Aegirs (water Barbaric King). The Threat: I actually fed away my very first Draco when I was a nooblet, and I’ve been trying to get him back ever since. Well, what do you know, a DAY after the Gemini HoH dropped, I got my Draco back! Draco gives AoE Immunity to his allies, increases their attack bar by 20%, and also drops a random buff on each ally. The buff ranges from ATK, SPD, and DEF increase. Aegir’s a total jerk to deal with, by the way. His third skill steals buffs, and if there are no buffs to steal, he’ll increase his attack bar by 50% per hit. Aegir could definitely cycle your allies again and again if you’re not lucky, and his damage is actually pretty decent. The Solution: Uuuuugh, where do I BEGIN with this stage. Draco’s got great, randomized buffs, and Aegir’s just insane damage. I’d probably say take out the Aegirs so you don’t straight-up die all the time. Draco, just make sure he doesn’t hit his third skill.

Stage 2

Welcome to Stage 2, this sucks. Here, we have three Orions (water Brownie Magicians) and two Yens (wind Rakshasas) The Threat: Orion suuuuuucks. His third skill, Harmless Prank, is not harmless at all. He selects random enemies to do 4 things: strip a buff, stun them for 1 turn, decrease their defense for 2 turns, and also bring Unrecoverable for 3 turns. He then increases the attack bar of all his allies by 20%. Yen, meanwhile, has a passive that grants her more and more chances to gain an extra turn. She starts at a 20% chance at the end of her turn, and the chance keeps going up and up the longer she doesn’t get the turn. BUT, if she does activate her passive, it’ll reset back to 20%. The Solution: I’m going to have to say Yen first, despite how much I hate Orion. It’s really not fun to have her hit more damage because she got the extra turn. Orion, you can safely stun, but Yen, however, will probably proc out of stun if she gets her passive stacked enough. (I’m actually not too sure about this, because I haven’t tried her out myself.)

Stage 3

Miniboss time! Here, we have one Wedjat (light Horus) and two Lanetts (dark Magic Knight). The Threat: So, as someone who got a Lanett on the 2018 Anniversary HoH, built her, and used her until the twins came around, I can safely say that Lanett’s the bigger threat here. Her third skill is actually based off the enemy’s Max HP, ands heals all allies based off the damage she does. Wedjat’s passive just increases his allies’ attack bars. The Solution: Probably go for Wedjat only. You can just stun the Lanetts and go, because you don’t really have much of a threat when it comes to Wedjat. Yeah, I know, I know, it’s weird, isn’t it?

Stage 4

It’s tiiiime for Stage 4! Here, we have three Aquilas (wind Brownie Magicians) and two Jojos (fire Jokers). The Threat: For what I know, I think Aquila is one of the only two nat4s who has a full enemy buff strip, next to Soha. His third skill just… removes everyone’s beneficial effects. Jojo’s better skill is actually his second skill, which plants 2-turn bombs on all enemies. The Solution: Oh, definitely go for Jojo first. It is SO not fun to have someone who can basically just… one-hit destroy your team. If you know that you can’t outright nuke Jojo, though, then feel free to bring along a cleanser, such as Velajuel or Lulu, or someone with Immunity (e.g. Fran).

Stage 5

We’re almost at the final boss now! Here, we have three Koronas (dark Brownie Magicians) and two Selenas (wind Succubi). The Threat: Okay, I’m sure a lot of you are done with Coronavirus jokes, so I won’t say anything. BUT, there’s actually not that big of a threat here. Korona’s third skill, Kindness Gone Wrong, removes both the buffs and debuffs on his enemies, and puts them to Sleep. Now, the amount of time they’re asleep depends on how many status effects were removed. Selena, meanwhile, doesn’t wake up enemies that are under Sleep, and her third skill deals more damage to enemies that are asleep. It’s really not fun to deal with. The Solution: I’m probably going to have to say take out the Selenas first. Korona can still inflict up to 9-turn sleep, don’t get me wrong, but at least if he attacks you, he’ll automatically wake you up. Selena doesn’t. After that, you can safely go for the Koronas.

Stage 6

It’s boss time, everybody! Here, we have a Gemini and two Brownie Magician lackeys. Now, the element of the lackeys will be different each stage. The Threat: The threat here will be different each floor, because the lackeys’ elements will be different each floor. Here, the biggest threat is Gemini, and then Draco, and then Aquila. It’s a bit weird, I know, but I’m still losing it over Draco’s buffs, because of how random they are, so you can’t just prepare ahead of time for them. The Solution: For this stage, I’d have to say that you could take out Draco, make sure that he doesn’t plant any buffs on his team, and then go for Gemini. However, there’s another solution to this. Y’see, Gemini only strips buffs if the enemy has more buffs than he does, and since Draco and Aquila give everyone buffs… well, the solution is don’t put any buffs on your units. I hope you all enjoyed this article! Did you get any Geminis? If yes, how many? Make sure to stay tuned for the next three articles, where I’ll be talking about the other four selections for HoH. In the meantime, I’m Sara Ann, and I’ll see you in the next article!]]>
