Offline-Farming?! These are the news of the TOMORROW update!

After the SWC hype and finale in Paris (congrats to Pu!), Com2us took the opportunity to give us more details about the upcoming Tomorrow update. We were pretty excited about the update! It looks great and reminds us a lof of the Reloaded update a few years ago.

If you haven’t pre-registered yet, do it here before the update goes live and get exclusive rewards!

First of all, Com2us shows us this cute trailer with our beloved monsters and Ellia. The quality of this trailer is remarkable, I mean look at this cute Rica!

Let’s hop into all updates!

Ameria’s Luck

To increase the efficiency of each gameplay session, Com2us is introducing the buff Ameria’s Luck for Cairos Dungeon, excluding Attribute Dungeons and the Rift of Worlds. Ameria’s Luck will improve the drop rates to obtain up to five times more legendary items (Runes, Artifacts, Gems and Grindstones) to make the game more accessible. Also, you won’t find any rare runes, unknown scrolls, or rune crafting materials dropped.

Dimension Hole

Especially for new players the Dimension Hole energy needs to be used for second awakenings instead of rune, gems and grindstone farming. To change this, Com2us will increase the amount of 2A experience obtained to get second awakened monsters more quickly. With this change it’s possible to awaken one monster per day and seven per week.

In addition the drop rates are going to be increased to get more hero and legendary items and Com2us is planning to remove rare grade rewards permanently.

Scout Battle

This new mode allows automatic battles even when the game is closed. Finally, we can farm runes, artifacts, gems and grindstones while we’re offline or don’t have enough time to farm actively! With this mode we can enter up to 200 battles in a maximum 8 hours with 3 energy per battle. You can choose either Cairos dungeon and Rift Raid for the Scout Battle. During the Scout Battle it’s not possible to play other content in contrast to the Repeat Battle.

New PVE Content: Temple of Chaos

Since the Challenge Battle in PVP went over so well, Com2us is thinking about adding a similar fun mode in PVE. This new dungeon opens once a month for one week. There you can create three teams of five monsters each and fight against an NPC boss in a relay battle. After all ally monsters die or it’s on its 50th turn, the next deck will take over the battle. The boss’s HP has been set to infinite, but after it hits 0, it will recover, get stronger and gain new skills. This dungeon uses a deck-based strategy similar to the Challenge Battle. It’s important to adjust the monster deck after every defeat.

New Rewards

The game will have new items to add depth to Rune and Artifacts management: the Refinement Stones and the Core Fragements. With Refinement Stones, you can only change the numerical values of a rune’s sub-properties, while the sub-properties themselves stay the same. So, if you get a rune with good stats but not the best values, you can use the Refinement Stones to boost them. For example, you can go from +13 SPD to +21 SPD. This is a great addition for our rune management!

The next new item is the Core Fragment that allows you to reppraise an Artifact. Unlike with runes reappraisal, you can now lock sub-stats – up to three – during the reappraisal so these stats won’t change.

These two new items can be obtained as a rewards in PVP content such as Siege Battle and World Arena and in the new PVE content Temple of Chaos.

New Summoner 5-Star Summon List and 4-Star Summon Pool

In this update summoning will be easier for new players to obtain 4-star and 5-star monsters that will be needed for the early game. There is a special 5-star summon list featuring 15 Fire, Water and Wind monsters with up to three 5-star summons. Only monsters from this list will be summoned. Com2us plans to add the following monsters to the list:

Furthermore there will be a 4-star summon list containing a curated selection of the most helpful Fire, Water and Wind 4-star monsters, which are perfect for new players. There will be no limit on the number of summons and the list can be customized at any time. These two lists will be applied to both new and existing users.

More information and details about the all new features will be shared in an extra dev note and the update is planned for the first update in November. We can’t wait for it! It seems that Com2us has heard our feedback, especially regarding the time consuming aspects of the game. After 11 years of Summoners War, the game has a lot of content and features to offer but many players are overwhelmed by the overload. Furthermore we have this cap between new and veteran players, each player has their own issues and Com2us wants to adress that.
