2020 Anniversary Hall of Heroes [Sian – Water Joker]

It’s the Anniversary Heroes once again! Now, usually, Com2uS gives us the choice between five units, but this time, the choice is against ten! However, the first five choices were last week, so in this case, we’re gonna be focusing on the last five choices – Gemini, Bering, Barque, Jun, and Sian.

Today, we’re gonna be looking at the water Joker, Sian. I’ve run all the Hall of Heroes on five different accounts, so four out of five will be absolute nooblet teams. However, my main team is still the same.

Before we begin, Hall of Heroes is a lot like Trial of Ascension, so that means you can use Trial of Ascension strategy and monsters (e.g. attack bar pushbacks, stuns and continuous damage are king). I strongly advise bringing your regular Trial of Ascension team. In my case, I’m using Baretta (L), Charlotte, Rica, Frigate, and Verad.

Stage 1

Well, here we are, at the first stage. Here, we have three Jojos (fire Jokers) and two Xiao Lins (water Kung Fu Girls).

The Threat: So, Jojo’s kinda trash, but his saving grace is his second skill. It plants a bomb on all enemies for 2 turns. Now, a bomb is a special debuff that, when the turn time is up, it detonates for massive damage. His third skill’s trash, though.

Xiao Lin, however, is still really good. Her third skill attacks four random enemies, and deals 25% damage for each debuff on them. I think she also has a chance to counterattack whenever her third skill is on cooldown. (I’m not sure if this activates if she’s Silenced, so don’t quote me on that.)

The Solution: I’m probably going to say don’t target Xiao Lin with Silence if you’re going to kill her first. Like I said, I don’t know if her counterattacking activates on Silence, but it’s best to be safe than sorry. Overall, though, this is a fairly easy stage, and even if Jojo plants a bomb on you, cleansers like Veromos or Lulu can easily get rid of it.

Stage 2

Welcome to Stage 2, it’s time to suffer. Here, we’ve got three Lushens (wind Jokers) and two Lexies (fire Assassins).

The Threat: Well, we just couldn’t have an easy HoH, could we? Lushen is considered one of, if not the best nat4 in the game, and it’s for good reason. His third skill, Amputation Magic, attacks all enemies like 3 times, and each attack ignores defense. I kid you not. It’s super high damage, and it’s easy for people to hit 10k per card.

Lexy, meanwhile, is more of a support monster, but she really doesn’t make this easy on you. Her passive, Deadly Seduction, decreases the damage all enemies take by 15%, but also decreases the amount that everyone in the battlefield heals by 50%. And since the enemy team doesn’t heal…

…well, I’m sure you can get where this is going.

The Solution: Lexy. Take out the Lexy first. I swear, she makes everything harder. It’s important that you don’t let Lushen get a turn, mind you, but kill Lexy first. Though Lushen can outright kill your entire team in 1 turn, but Lexy makes it harder to kill the Lushens. Also, her healing cut suuuuucks.

Stage 3

Mini boss time! Here, we’ve got one Anavel (water Occult Girl) and two Hraesvelgs (wind Barbaric Kings).

The Threat: Sooo, I actually really want an Anavel, and it’s not just to complete my Occult Girl collection. But anyway, Hraesvelg’s got a lot of damage, but Anavel’s probably the main threat here. It’s mostly because her second skill is a complete cleanse and heal for her allies, and her third skill attacks all enemies based off her Max HP, and plants Defense Break and decrease Speed. The DEF break is 3 turns, the speed decrease 2.

The Solution: Anavel. Go for Anavel first. Seriously, her cleanse is super annoying to deal with. It turns out she actually deals quite a bit of damage, too, on her third skill. Thankfully, you don’t have to kill the Hraesvelgs when you’re here. You can just go for Anavel, and once she’s dead, the game will move you onto Stage 4.

Stage 4

Well, this stage sucks. Here, we have three Figaros (light Jokers) and two Thebaes (dark Horuses).

The Threat: Well, I’d probably say that damage-wise, the main threat is Thebae, but Figaro has a ton of annoying RNG on his side, mainly because of his passive. Y’see, his passive, Camouflage, has a 1 in 4 chance to completely cancel out the damage he takes. It’s not fun.

Thebae, meanwhile, has a third skill that does a TON of damage, by attacking all enemies based off his Max HP and Branding everyone for 2 turns. He also resets the cooldown of his third completely if someone dies while it’s on cooldown.

The Solution: Kill those Thebaes first. This way, they don’t have a chance to activate their third skills, and therefore won’t be able to reset their cooldowns again. Figaro will be a bit more difficult to take down, because of his passive, but otherwise he’s relatively easy. I think he also removes buffs because of his passive?

Stage 5

It’s almost time for the boss stage! Here, we have three Lieblis (dark Jokers) and two Wedjats (light Horuses).

The Threat: Oh, it’s definitely Liebli. You see, not only does Liebli have the second skill that plants bombs on people, but he also has a passive that, when he’s attacked, decreases his skill cooldown by 1, and then counterattacks the enemy. It’s really not fun to deal with.

Wedjat, meanwhile, has a passive that increases the attack bar of his allies by 10% whenever his turn ends. However, if the allies have buffs, the attack bar increase amount will go up, all the way up to 20%. It may not seem like a lot, but 20% can be what makes or breaks your team.

The Solution: Did you know that if you stun the Lieblis, they can’t counterattack you? It’s true, though their cooltime will still decrease by 1. Wedjat isn’t that much of a threat to deal with, as long as you make sure that he never gets a turn, either, whether by attack bar manipulation or by outright killing them.

Stage 6

It’s boss time, everybody! Here, we have a Sian, and two other lackeys. Now, who these lackeys are depends on the floor you’re on, but they will always be Jokers.

The Threat: So, the threat and the solution here will always be different. In this case, though, the threat would definitely be Jojo and Lushen over there. Don’t get me wrong, though, Sian’s revive passive is really annoying, but still. Jojo can bomb you to death, and Lushen is… well, Lushen.

The Solution: Well, there’s no specific solution here. In all honesty, if this were, say, stage 10, this one would be an extremely difficult stage. I’d probably say kill Jojo and Lushen first before you even work on Sian first. Sian will revive after he dies, so watch out for that.
