Shannon [Wind Pixie] Review Updated 2016: Is She Still Good?

Overview

The wind pixie might be a 2 star, but she is still extremely useful despite new monsters that are out since the release. Her stats might not be the best, but she does offer 3 important debuffs that works very well against big bosses like Giants B10. Her first skill has glancing debuff(50 to 75%) that reduces enemy damage over time.  Her second skill reduces all enemy attack speed(80% to 100%). Her third skill(pep talk) increases your entire teams attack and defense for 3 turns. Since she is a 2 star, all her skills can be easily skill up by feeding other pixies. You will be able to get her to max skill in no time. Early Game Rune – Swift/Focus(Hp%/Hp%/Acc%) The reason for this rune set is because you need speed to make sure she always goes first in battle. She is able to cast pep talk and buff your entire team. This will increase your team’s damage. Plus, at lower levels, it is hard for you to find good despair runes, so any sort of customization will not be worth it, at least before level 40. You need Acc% because you want your debuffs to land. I recommend at least 50% accuracy for Giants B10. Late Game Rune – Despair/Revenge(Spd/Hp%/Hp%) As you advance to level 40 and can comfortably do Giants B7 to get some decent despair runes, you can start to rune her this way. With despair, she can stun enemy with her second skill. Revenge allows her to counter attack and get more glancing hits in. Now, for sub stat priority, you want to aim for at least 50% accuracy, 10+ speed and as much Hp% as you can get. Make sure she is the first one to move when you are doing Giants B10. If she dies too often, you want to optimize her with more Hp%. You want her to have at least 13k+ health. [polldaddy poll=”9487498″]

Team Combo

The cookie cutter team is the classic free to play Giants B10 combo: GB10: Shannon, Bernard, Veromos(L), Belladeon and Darion It won’t have the fastest run times, but it will do the job initially once you have farmed up for all the units.

Other Replacements

You can use the Water or Dark Battle Mammoth Talc and Basalt respectively since they also offer AoE defense buff and heal. Megan, the Water Mystic Witch is also a viable replacement but she only gives 2 turns of attack/defense buff. The trade-off of using these monsters is that they have slightly better stats than Shannon as they are all natural 3 stars.

Skill 1: Spirit Ball: Attacks the enemy with an Energy Ball. The attack has a 50% chance of increasing the enemy’s chance to land a Glancing Hit for 2 turns.

Worth 6 Starring?

She is worthy of a 6 star, but not initially. You want to already have a dungeon farmer, attackers and supports like Bernard(Wind Griffon) before you 6 star her.]]>
