Summoners War Hall of Heroes (HoH)

Introduction
The Hall of Heroes (HoH) is an event dungeon in Summoners War that allows you to get up to 5 copies of a predefined 4-star monster. Every HoH consists of 10 floors, each having 6 waves (including the mid- and the floor- boss). Per floor, you’ll get 5 crystals and 25 summoning pieces – 50 are needed to summon the 4-star monster. You should not mix these summoning pieces up with the almighty summoning pieces you can buy from the guild shop.
Every second weekend of each month, a new dungeon will open from Friday, 12 pm PST until Sunday, 12 am PST. The monster is defined by Com2uS, and its element rotates every Hall of Heroes. Meaning we get 2 HoHs of each element per year and also 2 Birthday Hall of Heroes. The Birthday HoHs are usually open for a whole week in May and June each. You can select one out of 5 monsters (one from every element) from a previous Hall of Heroes. Obviously, the light and dark 4-star monster are the most popular once – as usual in Summoners War. Otherwise it is your best choice to go for skillups for other 4-stars you are regularly using, especially in Siege Battle where it can be useful to build and skillup multiple copies of the same monster.
Free monsters are very helpful for your progress in SW, even if you already summoned the HoH monster by yourself, or it’s a monster that is not used in general. You should stil always clear and loot all floors and therefor farm the summoning pieces. You never know, when the game gets an update and the monster will get usable. Or you just want to feed it in your crafting building for some light&dark- or legendary- summoning pieces, even then you’re getting a lot out of the Hall of Heroes.
List of HoH’s
You can find a complete list of all past Hall of Heroes in Summoners War here.
There are still many good 4-star monsters open, that could be the one of the next Hall of Heroes.
Fun fact: the Jack-o’-Lantern Hall of Heroes has always been around Halloween 😉

When it comes to your team strategy, it obviously depends on the enemies in the Hall of Heroes waves. You will always find the exact same order of elements you need to control in the stages:

One of the best teams is definitely the Trial of Ascension Hard team consisting of, for example, Tyron, Mellia, Sath, Jeanne and Water Homunculus. It’s the same strategy you use to defeat the monsters in ToA: with Attack Bar Control and Continuous Damage.
Using this team, you should be able to clear the Hall of Heroes without much effort and get the summoning pieces very easily. The advantage of this team is that you don’t have to build it again since you already use it every ToA rotation, and most of the typical ToA monsters are free to play.
Of course you can use your valuable 5-Star-Monsters as well. Some non F2P monsters are really strong for the Hall of Heroes stages, for example Verad, the Water Dragon. If you don’t have a Verad yourself, it’s recommend to use friend monsters. Many players set Verad as their rep. Monster anyways.
Missing HoH Monsters
Even if we had a lot of HoH’s already, many monsters are still missing – especially the strong L&D monsters like Kinki, Molly or Deborah.
We don’t know for sure if Com2uS will ever give us these powerful monsters for free. That would be too easy, right? Furthermore, Summoners War will get new monsters continuously, so the chance of getting a Kinki or a Molly in the HoH in the near future is very little.
The list of missing monsters will never end with new monsters being released, so we can be excited for a never ending Hall of Heroes series!
Summary
We think the Hall of Heroes is a very good feature in Summoners War to get missing monsters or skill ups completely for free. Every Summoner has the chance to get even good Light and Dark monsters. One example is Monte – the dark Dice Magician. It was used in various Siege defenses, and thanks to the Hall of Heroes, everyone could build up to 5 Defs. Of course, it’s embarrassing if you just summon a HoH Light or Dark monster close after the HoH. Getting exited about the L&D lightning after eternal Light and Dark Scrolls, and then it’s just a HoH monster… not fun! But with every HoH, you have at least the chance to skill up 4-Star monsters for free.
Also, the Birhtday Hall of Heroes is an important event for all of us, as you can choose your favorite or missing monster. We’re always excited which Anniversary HoH we will get, and every time it’s good to see that we can complete our Light and Dark monster list or get more skill ups for relevant units.
In our opinion, Com2us should stay away from too powerful Hall of Heroes with monsters like Kinki. It would destroy the game if every Summoner would have such an op unit for free (or even 5 of it). We just saw it in the SWC this year, how crazy a Kinki can be! It should always be something special, you have summoned by yourself.
Furthermore, it’s easier to get more L&D scrolls than before and even summon a L&D 5-Star. After the implementation of the All-Attribute Scroll or the purchase of L&D with Ancient Crystals, you now have so many chances to get a good L&D monster. There’s no need to provide it through a Hall of Heroes that can be farmed by every Summoner. You wouldn’t feel special about it anymore if you summon it one day by yourself.
