Uses
Theomars is your all round single target nuker that works pretty much on any element due to his passive, which neutralizes element disadvantage when attacking. Once you get him, you do not really need another single target nuker unless you need a niche damage dealer to deal with certain monsters.

[easytable] , , Excellent single target damage, 1 turn Endure buff for survival[/easytable]
Rune Builds
With Theomars being a power house as a single target nuker, beginners should go with the speedy rune build Swift/Blade(Spd/Crit D%/Atk%) to utilize the first skill’s damage that scales with speed. You will only need a total of 76% critical rate and him as the leader to hit 100% critical rate.
For end game players, Violent/Blade(Spd/Crit D%/Atk%) is the way to go. A violent proc usually spells the death of an enemy monster with this build. More speed means more chances of violent procs. I don’t recommend slow Theomars with Atk% on slot 2 unless you want him to go before or after certain monsters.
Important Substats: Spd, Crit R%, Crit D%, Atk%, Acc%
Tower of Ascension Viability
Theomars is usable in both ToA normal and hard as a raw damage dealer due to having continuous damage + defense debuff. He does drop off a bit in the latter stages in ToA hard but he is still usable. But for normal, you can use him all the way to 100.
Giants and Dragons B10 Viability
As for giants, he is not the optimal guy, but you can use him as a damage dealer. As for Dragons B10, he is a welcome addition as he offers defense debuff and continuous damage, which is extremely important in taking down the dragon towers fast.
Arena and Guild Wars Viability
Theomars is prevalent in Conqueror 1+ arena in both offense and defense. The reason is because his AI is unpredictable and you cannot just bring a fire tank to soak up damage because he will attack other elements as well. This is what makes him good in defense. For offense, pair him with another defense debuffer like Bella and you will be able to take down enemy monsters with ease.
As for guild wars, a common guild wars defense team is a fast Theomars, Chloe(or any immunity monster) and Chasun. This can be annoying to deal with, especially if you don’t have an AoE buff cleanser. You literally have to pray that Chloe doesn’t cast immunity on the first turn.
Counters to Theomars
To combat against Theomars, you need monsters that can seize buffs like Belladeon, Ramahan etc. Alternatively, you need someone that can reset cool times of skills such as Walkers, Delphoi, Lumirecia, Kaito etc. You can also use monsters that prevent him for using skills with cool times such as Suri, Taurus etc. These allows you to prevent him from surviving and quickly killing your team.
Conclusion: Keep and 6 Star + Pimp Him Out
Theomars is definitely a monster you want to give your best runes to. He is the best single target nuker out there that is AVAILABLE to f2p players. Even Laika has to sit in the corner and cry when comparing his damage to Theomars with the same rune investment.]]>
