Martial Artist Review – Fire / Water / Wind / Light / Dark

Today we will be reviewing the new monster Martial Artist. Feel free to leave your comment, thoughts, recommendations or opinions. I will listen and change accordingly if you provide constructive feedback. Just don’t be like “OMG your review sucks why no violent QQ” type comments. Those doesn’t help anyone.

How to get: Unknown scroll, fire scroll and social summon.

Awakened Bonus: Increases Resistance by 25%.

Leader Skill: None

Skill 1: Turning Kick: Kicks an enemy and stuns the target for 1 turn with a 25% chance.

  • Lv.3 Harmful Effect Rate +5%

  • Lv.5 Harmful Effect Rate +5%
  • Lv.6 Harmful Effect Rate +5%

Skill 2: Combo Attack: Attacks an enemy 3 times with each hit having a 20% chance to decrease the Defense for 2 turns. (Reusable in 4 turns)

Skill 3: Martial Arts Specialist (Passive): A well trained body is more powerful than steel. If you have a higher Defense than your enemies, then your attacks will deal additional damage proportionate to your Defense. [Automatic Effect]

    Fire martial artist has a misprint. His ability procs when he hits a monster with LOWER defense, not higher defense. See the reddit post here for supporting data.

    I recently got the light martial artist, and I will be building him violent/revenge spd/hp, hp, hp/acc. violent for more provokes and to use the hp scaling attack more to hit hard. Revenge for the chance to stun on first skill. Once he is built and levelled ill tell everyone how he does! c:

    I have the wind one, it does seem to be a nice one because of his insane attack speed, but apart from that is no that different from my wind pierret. I may keep it as a secondary attack monster for the arena.

    Seems like the most usable among all martial artist’s will be water.
    I’m currently using Vamp/Guard on him, but I’m eyeing on a build that will be more focused on faimon(hell) , I’m thinking of using vio/rev on him, considering all his skill to come up with a nice output. Speed will not be an issue for him, going att% – first skill, Hp% – sustain, def% – 2nd skill. I’m not really sure what the outcome will be, putting violent runes on him will help him sustain with 3rd skill.

      Since the SD is opened for a few days i have the idea to build a full skilled fairmon solo farmer withe the water MA. I runed him with Guard/Guard/Energy with HP%/HP%/DEF%. Did anyone tried this before? I’am damn pretty unsure whether tis will work and i’am afraid to feed 18 3* MAs to him to max the skills. Anyone else think this could work for fairmon solo?

    I think the water one would be good with Vampire focus, full def.
    The 1st damage would be sucky tho.

    Does Dark Martial Artist 3rd skill work on dungeon bosses? 25% of a max health giant or Dragon would be a huge start.

      As I knew. Boss cannot be stun or freeze. Am I right?
      If that case your dark martial artist 3rd skill cannot work.
      Because It’s will work under inability effect condition.

    Why not just go full Guard and DEF% on the Fire Martial Artist?
    This way his passive will pretty much always be on and his 1st and 2nd skill will always deal dmg based on his DEF unless the enemy has insanely high DEF.

    Why would you go any other way building him? Your build suggestion makes no sense.

      Agree, I was thinking the same thing. I’m going to try out that all DEF build just to see how it goes.

        Update?? I decide to go alllllll defense on my Sin, fire one. HE was tremendous nuker!!

        Time to redo guide?? Never never never hp or speed, that is like giving baseball player golf clubs, pointless and irrelevant!!!
