Reappraisal Stones Guide
Reappraisal Stones also known as Reapps are a special currency in Summoners War. Similar to the Ancient Coins, you can’t farm the Reapps, that’s why they are pretty rare and valuable. These stones are used for what’s called a “Rune Reappraisal”. What does this exactly mean? And how do you not waste that important stones? Let us break it down in this article and our Video (German version).
What is a Reappraisal Stone?
Runes have a wide-ranging complexity and it’s not that easy to understand every detail, especially as a beginner. But runes are a crucial element of Summoners War. If you don’t have runes, your monsters won’t be able to deal damage, survive in the dungeons, or have any stats at all.
With Reapps it’s possible to change all four sub-stats of a rune that has been power-upped to +12. That means you can completely convert a rune to a better rune! Every roll of this rune reappraisal costs one Reappraisal Stone and let you select between two options of different rune sub-stats.
If the new rolled values are not better than before, you can choose “before reappraisal” and keep the current rune as it is. Once you’ve done that, you can invest more Reappraisal Stones until you find the best stats for a certain rune. If you think the new stats are a better choice, you can select “after reappraisal” to have the rune values changed to the new ones.
To sum up: Reapps can turn a bad rune into a highly valuable one. Many summoners are grinding for high speed or other efficient rolls. It’s pretty insane that you can improve your account with these stones, but in many cases you need a lot of them!
If you’re a beginner, we highly recommend to save your Reapps for now. You should only use them on specific runes that will improve your overall rune quality. We’ll get to that point later on. First, let’s look at where you can get Reappraisal Stones.
Where to get?
Okay, we mentioned that the Reapps are pretty rare and you can’t obtain them via farming. So, how do we get the reappraisal stones exactly?
One option is the weekly crafting feature. You can get 3 reappraisal stones every week by going to the “Special” tab in your crafting building. You definitely should start crafting them every week, as soon as you can. You’ll need the crystals from the Rift Beast Dungeons. Also the Ancient Reappraisal Stones can be crafted here. They have the same effect, but only on Ancient runes.
Ancient runes are an improved version of normal runes and can be obtained in the Dimension Hole Dungeons. The base rolls of these runes can be higher, which makes them very interesting to use Reapps on. Keep in mind that you need the Ancient Reapps for Ancient Runes. The crafting of those are limited to 2 per week (also to find in the crafting building → “Special”). You can also claim another one as a monthly reward in the Dimensional Hole. If you check the “Mission,” you can unlock the additional Ancient Reapp right there.
Another way are the special events that are provided in-game by Com2us. Many events offer Reappraisal Stones as rewards. Usually these events are pretty easy, beginner friendly and free to play. In most of these events you just need to farm dungeons, fight in the arena, participate in guild content, which you’re already doing.
As we mentioned in our Ancient Coins Guide, you can also purchase 1 Reappraisal Stone for 100 Ancient coins here.
The last option is to obtain the stones through real-money packs. If you’re not free to play you can consider buying packs that include Reappraisal Stones or the specific Rune Reappraisal packages. If this is something you’re looking into, our guide has all the information you need to save money on packs.
What runes to consider?
It’s a tough question because every summoner has a different opinion and experience about it and you can’t really compare the focus of each player.
Basically, we recommend using Reapps only on legendary runes, preferably in slot 2/4/6. The best rune sets you can reapp are Violent, Will, and Swift. These are the most used rune sets with the most effect and importance in the game.
Why slot 2/4/6? On these slots you can have HP, DEF, ATK, CDMG and more as a percentage instead of a flat stat. This means you can get higher stats out of it. Also SPD on slot 2 is a significant stat for many monsters. The chances of farming an efficient rune with %-main stat is way lower compared to the other rune slots. This is where you can make improvements with Reappraisal Stones.
In addition, it’s highly recommended that you should reapp runes with a prefix property. The stats you’ll want to have as a prefix are Accuracy, Resistance, and for a no-damage dealer, Crit Rate and Crit Dmg on the highest roll possible. If a stat is already in the prefix, it’s not possible to get these stats into your runes normal sub-stats.
The prefix is fixed and will never change, even if you’re using a Reappraisal Stone on that rune. And the prefix stat can never roll into the other sub-stats. This way, you reduce the chances of rolling stats into your rune, that you don’t want to have there. You’ll have more chances to get the efficient stats such as HP%, SPD or DEF%, which you can then improve further with grindstones.
It is a good idea to keep your runes organized. Make use of the rune marking feature and set of the markers to mark the runes you consider using Reapps on in the future. This way you’ll have a much better overview and can focus on your next reapp targets.
So, you know everything about Reappraisal Stones now. If you’re still unsure which runes you should use your Reapps on, you can just ask the community on our Discord Server. Reapps are as complex as runes themselves, so it’s important to use them wisely and not waste them.
